 President's Message by Michael Mazur Published September 2010 The finish line is in sight! The general election is less than two months away. October 2, 2010 is the last day to register to vote by mail and October 12, 2010 is the last day to register in person for the general election. Early voting begins on October 16, 2010 and this is our opportunity to stop the spending and hold Washington accountable for their actions. At our August luncheon, we had over 200 enthusiastic conservatives join us for lunch with Sharron Angle, candidate for U.S. Senate. As of today, all polls indicate that the Nevada Senate race is a statistical tie. Of course, this is based upon the number of people that answer their phones versus the number of people that will actually show up and cast their ballot.
Our next luncheon is set for September 13, 2010 since the first Monday is Labor Day.
Mark A. Hutchison, Esq. will be our featured guest speaker. Mr. Hutchison's firm has
been retained by the State of Nevada to join 19 other states in the federal lawsuit
against healthcare entitled: State of Florida v. United States Department of Health
and Human Services. The case was filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern
District of Florida. On September 14, 2010 a hearing is scheduled to hear the United
State's Motion to Dismiss the case. We are honored to have Mr. Hutchison present to
the Republican Men's Club the day before the hearing. |
