 President's Message by Michael Mazur Published August 2010 In June, we selected our conservative frontrunners that will take us to the finish line in November. Now is the time to make the final push for conservative values. The general election is only three months away. Unfortunately, that means three more months of the Democrats continuing on their wild spending spree. We have witnessed the Democrats spend well beyond their means and borrow beyond their means. The amount of the federal deficit is staggering! The only solution that the Democrats will implement is a tax increase to cover their spending habits or perhaps cap and trade. Additionally, I am sure we will see the Democrats allow the Bush tax cuts expire. The good news is that there is only three more months until the election. The spending, borrowing and printing of money will all come to an end the first week in November. Our slate has been set and It is refreshing to see all conservatives active and engaged in the process. Accordingly, we will see victory in November! Our guest speaker for the August Luncheon will be Sharron Angle, candidate for U.S. Senate. Sharron Angle is from Northern Nevada and has served four terms in the Nevada Assembly. During this time, she served on the Committee on Education, Committee on Elections, Procedures & Ethics and the Health and Human Services Committee.
In July, Heidi Harris, host of “The Voice of Reason for Las Vegas” was our guest speaker. It was
nice to have Heidi back at the NRMC Luncheon to hear her perspective of the upcoming election. We
were dark for the July mixer and will resume the mixers on August 10, 2010 at the Italian American
Social Club on Sahara at Eastern. |
