Our last meeting was a resounding success that still, to this day, echoes throughout the biergarten at the Hofbräuhaus, literally. LOL
I think that of those who attended, you know what I mean. One of our members has stepped up for the upcoming meeting and has donated his sound system for improved quality. The food was great, the entertainment was even better with the keg tapping and the surprise showing of HC.
As well, thank you Troy for an interesting perspective on the history of nuclear weapons.

This month represents the final call for those members, in good standing, who have expressed interest in holding a position. We have several names and Al reports that our progress is good. Please call me and place your name in the running for President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary, Recording Secretary, or Director. Our election will be held in December.

The 2008 year will be a very important year for Republicans in the state of Nevada and our country. It is a defining moment for socialism and its acceptance in this country as proper method for governance. What say you…I am against it. Please, get involved.

As a recap to this year, we boasted having some 560+ members, 380 paid, great Republicans, on the scrolls. Our average luncheon attendance has been 120. We have switched restaurant venues twice due to Ellis Island shutting down their banquet facilities. We have had some very dynamic speakers. Our newsletter continues to receive rave revues associated with its content. We have had success with our business mixers…greater than 250 in attendance. We have generous corporate sponsors. We have new brochures with excellent content. We have some money in the bank as a nonprofit. We have reworked our web page and have a dynamic power point presentation. We have well over 110 new members. We have fun drawings. We have established various committees:

As your President, my personal goal is to hand off a very strong organization for the incoming officers and directors for the forthcoming election year. I have accomplished my goal. Regarding membership, it is time to renew. For only ten dollars per year, it is an unbelievable value that defies explanation: great speakers, good food, great Republican thought, and a great newsletter and who knows some of us have made friends.

At a time when the economy is leaving Americans behind, the security and defense of our nation requires diligence and activdenial of enemy action, and when our educational systems on the whole are failing us; we Republicans must stand tall and come to the aid of our citizens through effective leadership, selfless giving, and a resounding no, let us suggest, nay, let us do it the right way. From Washington to local elections, we need Republicans with the forethought, the integrity, and the will to build healthy consensus’, limit the size of government, by focusing upon the basis of a government for and by the people, that keys in on the fundamental reformation of democratic institutions.

A partial prescription for our nation’s dilemma:
Performance of our Senators, and House Members (Federal).
Timely support of our Governor & all elected Republican legislators.
Technologically advanced, small state & county governments.
Lower, very low, property taxes.
Education Reform Reconstruction.
Tort & Judicial Rehabilitation.
Defense & Proper application of criminal law.
Long term strategic thinkers vetted in the political process:
Republicans.

I came across the following statement during my reading…
“I am a child who someday will inherit the Flag of the United States of America, and all of the rights and responsibilities of those who preceded me, the founding fathers and their progeny. It is my request that I am educated well in a secure and fundamentally sound form of society; a democracy that is forward thinking, lean, and that gives everyone an equal opportunity through a merit based system of progress: A free and fair capitalist market that provides a resilient economy, the freedom of expression and the ownership of my destiny. That is the America, that I want to assume leadership positions someday…in the not so distant future. I am an American, I am a child of this great land founded by God and man…we all are…it is incumbent upon you, Congress, Mr. President, and all of the some 500k+elected officials to ensure, and if not guarantee me, life, liberty, and the ability to pursue my dreams. I will do the rest.”
